LASCAUX KITCHEN

Natural stone and glass

Winner of Dallas Home Design Magazine's "Best Small Kitchen" and Stone Magazine's "Best of Home" awards, the "Lascaux Kitchen" was inspired by a beautifully textured piece of granite that reminded the home owners of a trip to see the cave paintings in Lascaux, France. Using the theme of the earliest human design motifs, the artist team created several vignettes for the backsplash using both wetsaw-cut natural stone and inlaid glass.

Designed and fabricated by Julie Richey and Lynne Chinn.
